Soden Volumes

Amatsu sensei was a Soden specialist, it was his responsibility to make the new notes for the Soden books, especially the later Takeda Ryu books, as in the original books there is very little notes. Other versions of the Soden have other notes, but they do not compare with Amatsu sensei’s notes, as Amatsu sensei did it with Hisa sensei. The original notes mainly just had the name of the attack, and whether kakete is used, or when you should ‘apply aiki’. Amatsu sensei made the notes for these books, and it is very rare to find a copy with his notes in. You can see below an example of Amatsu sensei’s notes from Asahi Ryu (6th book), technique number 4.
